Jeff Teeter

Jeff Teeter has been a dedicated visual communicator at CSU, Chico for more than 35 years. He is the lead photographer for the University. His responsibilities include the production of digital images used by all departments on campus. His photo illustrations are used in both print and Web applications, and are generally distinguished by his use of motivated, but controlled lighting effects.

Jeff also functions as lighting director for video projects and has won a few awards for his “outstanding contributions to videography.” These include first place in the JVC Professional Video Merchandising Competition, a New York Film Festival bronze metal, and a gold Cindy award from the Association of Visual Communicators.

With his ability to light almost any situation to its best advantage, Jeff brings professional polish and style to what otherwise might be an ordinary picture. As the field of photo-illustration evolves, Jeff continues to sharpen his craft by applying digital technology solutions to traditional photographic problems.

As senior photographer, Jeff manages the IMC photo studio and supervises a photography intern. Jeff and his team work closely with various editors and graphic designers to bring a high-quality visual identity to government projects.

As an experienced videographer, Jeff occasionally teams up with the IMC Productions video crew. He has won several regional, national, and international awards for outstanding achievement in videography.
