Kathy Fernandes

As Director, Kathy Fernandes sets the vision, establishes the goals, and does the planning and budgeting for the Academic Technologies unit, which includes The Instructional Media Center, The Technology and Learning Program and Distributed Learning Technologies. She also is the Director of IMC Productions, which provides online, print and media production services to government and public agency clients through grants and contracts.

Kathy was originally a computer programmer and database administrator. Hired in 1988 by CSU, Chico as an Instructional Computer Consultant she specialized in multimedia production and instructional technology. A producer of several multimedia instructional packages, Kathy now uses her expertise to help empower faculty to create their own course media and manages development for campus and government clients.
